Miss Alia Husain
Lead Clinical Pharmacist
Alia is the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for the area of Women’s Health and Neonates at University College Hospital, a role she has held for over ten years.
She currently manages, provides, and develops the clinical pharmacy services to the neonatal, maternity, gynaecology, and breast patients in the Women’s Health Division. This role also encompasses providing services to fetal medicine and the fertility clinics.
Alia gained master’s degree in Pharmacy at the University of Portsmouth in 2000 and in independent prescribing at King’s College University London in 2017.
She is a keen member of the Drugs and therapeutics committee and the nutrition team at on the neonatal unit. She is also the Women’s Health representative on the Use of medicines committee at University College London.
