Ahmed is a consultant paediatrician with a special interest in cardiology. He is currently working at
Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby. He covers Level 2 neonates, general paediatrics, and
cardiology. He is also the Royal College Tutor and Designated Doctor for Child Death. He is incredibly
passionate about teaching paediatrics. He creates the teaching rota for the paediatric trainees at
Grimsby. In addition, he is an instructor on the European Paediatric Advanced Life Support Course.
He also organises and participates in STEPP teaching days for ST1 paediatric trainees. He is currently
taking a post-graduate certificate in medical education course (PGCME). After finishing his MBBS
from Kurnool Medical College in India, he came to the UK to pursue post-graduate training in
paediatrics. He completed part of his training in the West Midlands and in the Yorkshire deanery
before getting a CCT in paediatrics.
He enjoys taking vacations and spending time with his kids in his spare time.
