It is an induction to practice that covers the issues that IMGs may grapple with in the first few months of work. Some of the subjects cover the organisational structure of the NHS, information about postgraduate training, careers for locally employed & SAS doctors, and Pay & Pensions. Some topics are about the issues outside work (like childcare, schooling, mortgages) that affect how IMGs adapt in a new country and which may impact their well-being and that of their family.
