9th of February 2025, 09:00 – 14:00 (Virtual)
At the end of the course, attendees will receive a Certificate of Participation, equivalent to 4 hours of CPD credit.
Watch the Video Preview of the course where the Tutor discusses supraventricular tachycardias.
This course is relevant to any doctor who wishes to improve their ECG interpretation skills. Historically, it has had a good mix of IMGs and UK graduates (both recent graduates and experienced clinicians). This is the ninth iteration of the course.
The course aims to expose you to a wide range of ECGs in the context of the clinical scenarios you will encounter while working in NHS Acute Hospitals and Mental Health Trusts.
The week before the course, you will have access to a workbook (on his page) with several ECGs similar to those you often encounter in practice. We encourage you to attempt to interpret these independently with no support. During the course, the tutor will support you in developing this and highlight key management aspects, recognise areas for improvement, and reinforce simple and straightforward steps to employ when interpreting ECGs in a way that builds your confidence.
Who should attend?
- Foundation Doctors
- GP / IMT / Core Surgical / Psychiatry Trainees

This is what the participants said:
“The course was very interactive. We were sent a workbook before. The speaker was very understanding and patient; he was a great teacher :)”
“Very good pace. I was worried it was a fairly long course and therefore would be tiring on a Saturday, but this was very well paced.”
“Very interactive, very friendly, did not feel intimidated.”
“We discussed a wide range of clinical conditions and their ECG presentations…very lucid and detailed explanation.”
“The session was interactive, and the consultant explained the different topics very well.”
“It was great to have a refresher on basic concepts after so many years. Thank you!”
“Going systematically helps not to miss important findings, and good practice makes one better. I also learned that interpreting ECGs is not as hard as I thought.”
