This is a self-paced course

This is a FREE comprehensive induction for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) that have come to work and train in the National Health Service in the UK.
It is an induction to practice that covers the issues that IMGs may grapple with in the first few months of work. We have co-designed this course with IMGs and experienced medical educators to ensure that the learning needs of IMGs are met.
Some of these subjects cover the organisational structure of the NHS and information about postgraduate training in several specialties. We also cover the legal and ethical frameworks (applicable to all specialties) within which medical practice occurs in the UK. Some topics are about the issues outside work (like housing, childcare, schooling) that impact on how IMGs adapt in a new country and which may impact on their well-being and that of their family.
