Nonye is an ST3 paediatric trainee. She completed her primary medical degree and paediatric residency training in Nigeria before relocating to the United Kingdom. She has extensive experience of providing childcare in different environments and is passionate about improving outcomes for babies and children through evidence-based medicine.
She is part of an international medical graduate group that offers mentoring and clinical exam practice sessions to colleagues writing the exams. She provided peer job application support to doctors interested in joining paediatric specialty in the last recruitment exercise.
Nonye is keen about teaching and is a Newborn Life Support instructor candidate as well as an Advanced Resuscitation of the Newborn Infant provider. She is enthusiastic about audits/service evaluation/quality improvement projects and has been involved in them both locally and at a regional level. She has a few publications – published, accepted and pending review.
Nonye is a wife and mum to three lovely children, and she enjoys spending time with them.
