Amanda is a pharmacist with over 25 years of experience. With a background in community pharmacy, she has been working in primary care for the past 20 years, supporting Medicines Optimisation in GP practices and care homes in North East London. She currently has a portfolio career, working in care homes to reduce avoidable medication-related harm, in a GP practice as a Practice Pharmacist and Non-Medical prescriber, as a Lead PCN Clinical Pharmacist, and as a Clinical Supervisor for a team of volunteer pharmacists on the Breastfeeding Network’s Drug in Breastmilk Information Service.
Amanda also volunteers in the Drugs in Breastmilk Service, supporting families, breastfeeding supporters, and healthcare professionals with queries about medications and procedures when breastfeeding.
She is passionate about safe prescribing and enjoys teaching and mentoring clinical colleagues.
